Nellie Eden is a visionary Creative Director, Consultant and Editor specialising in digital culture, working with many of the most influential brands in the fashion and beauty sphere, globally.
With over twelve years experience in the creative industries, Nellie has worked in-house at Dazed Beauty, The Face Magazine, Refinery29 and IDex Cap. She has crafted and refined the creative and verbal identities for brands such as GUCCI, Nike, Byredo and Martine Rose. Nellie has since launched Beauty for Browns Fashion and has re-launched Haeckles. As a founding team member of the Dazed Beauty team Nellie’s vision has been pivotal in setting a blueprint for a new, creative and inclusive beauty language, one that favours creativity, self-expression and liberation over out of date norms and beliefs. In turn, Nellie has spearheaded a highly-engaged platform that unites a community of beauty lovers, insiders and outsiders, while acting as a greenhouse for beauty subcultures around the world.
While acting as the Editor of Dazed Beauty Nellie directed magazine covers starring Kylie Jenner, Kate Moss, Grimes, Alexa Demie, Alton Mason and Lily McMenamy and powered a number of projects that challenge the conventional perceptions of beauty, rejecting the standards and ideals that former generations have subsumed. Highlights range from a futuristic, experiential pop-up Dazed Beauty Space at London’s Selfridges, to a digital-showcase-cum-gallery-exhibition celebrating black hair in collaboration with hairstylist Jawara and photographer Nadine Ijewere. Nellie currently holds the position of Creative Director of IDex Cap, a brand incubator bringing new and innovative beauty brands to market. Here she oversees the construction of visual and verbal brand universes, working closely with Founders and C-Suite to bring new brands to life.
Nellie is a Contributing Editor to ELLE UK.
